Well, the trend is still. LG and Samsung are in news again, this time, due to rumor that claims iris-based authentication systems in the Galaxy S7 and LG G5. As per rumor, LG and Samsung are all set to equip iris scanners on commercial smartphones by early next year. So, chances are quite high that new biometric login systems will be there in Galaxy S7 and LG G5.
Rumors about inclusion of Iris scanning technology in smartphone have been there for a long. For the very first time, this technology was rumored to be in ‘making mode’ when the Galaxy S5 was about to launch. Galaxy Note 4 was rumored to get honor of becoming first device with this esteemed technology, however, that just did not happen. Last year, an announcement was made by Samsung that it’s working on the technology. Seems, hard work of tech giant has paid it off. Time to taste this technology has come very near.
Just to remind you, Galaxy S5 came up with biometric login option of fingerprint reading. For that time, this technology was able to please the users. But since the technology has caught a fire after then, so, customers just can’t be pleased with any other technology, but long talked iris-scanning technology only. Seems LG and Samsung are well aware from this, and are full set to please their esteemed customers by delivering what they’ve been waiting to get for a long.
Vivo X5 Pro is the first ever smartphone to have iris-scanning authentication technology. It was launched in China last month. Since this techology is out there already, so we expect our favorite tech giants Samsung and LG to bring them in their upcoming smartphones, which are rumored to be Galaxy S7 and G5 respectively.
Of course, just like is the case with any other new technology, you might not find iris-scanning technology upto your expectation mark. But, with passage of time, technology will mature, and smartphones coming without it will be considered ‘waste’.
As per tech experts, Samsung and LG, being experienced makers, marketers, would first love to bring the technology in smartphones meant for the domestic market. After getting good response, they won’t take any time in launching the technology in its international product.
