The gaming industry has come a long way from where it originally started and the latest developments in technology have further contributed to an unparalleled upgrading of the video games of today. In a time where 4K resolution and VR technology is prevalent, gaming enthusiasts expect the latest video games to be rolled out with the best possible graphics as well as a flawless game play. And right at the top of the video game roster for 2017 lies WWE 2k18.
WWE 2k18 is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2018 with a huge number of professional wrestling fans look forward to the game being rolled out. Published by 2K Sports, WWE 2k17 was developed by Yuke’s and Visual Concepts and released in October 2016. Now, the latest iteration to this hugely popular video game has been met with grievances from a number of its players as the game failed to meet up with the visual expectations in comparison to the competitors spanning other genres. WWE fans are quite hopeful that the next installment which is pegged to come out sometime later this year.
WWE 2k18 has been in the news quite a number of times owing to rumors suggesting that the upcoming game would feature a major upgrade when it comes to game play. This might have been a source of good news for a considerable amount of people owing to the fact that the last game failed to incorporate quite a number of significant features in the predecessor. Although the information has been on the basis of a huge number of speculations, the lack of facts have barely slowed down the WWE game enthusiasts from creating a wish list of their own. And perhaps one point which is on every fan’s wish list is the return of the Manager career Mode.
The general manager mode was first introduced in the wrestling video game world in SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 but promptly discontinued by the 2009 edition due to unexplained reasons. Keeping in mind the prowess made in terms of the overall graphical performance of the games of today, an RPG style manager mode would be quite an impressive addition to WWE 2k18. What would even add to its appeal is if full functionality role playing is offered to the user. Quite understandable, this wish list entry has been much propelled by EA Sport’s latest FIFA 17 which has been developed on the latest frostbite engine in order to successfully roll out the much acclaimed Journey mode. And now WWE 2k18 is also pegged to sport something similar.
Aside from the huge array of speculations and rumours surrounding WWE 2k18, one of the most important questions remains whether 2K Sports will actually release the game this year or not. Judging by their game releasing patterns, it is a highly likely possibility that we might see WWE 2K18 head for an October 2017 release date although further details regarding the same will only be clear once the developers decide to shed some light on it.
